At FoodAtlanta.com, we recognize the need for charities, especially at the local level.  With Government Aid Programs having to do more and more, with less and less, our need for charitable organizations is great.  Hunger in this country is among our most shameful realities.  Every day, a large part of our population is going hungry, malnourished, and underfed.  Atlanta is lucky to have some great organizations dedicated to the less fortunate in our city, and the metropolitan area.  As you look through our website for a place to eat, we thank you for taking the time to discover how you can help a fellow citizen eat.  Please explore some of the following links to see how YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  Most, if not all, of the following charities are looking for your support, whether it be in the form of a cash or food donations, volunteering, or writing to your local representatives in government.  As part of our corporate culture, FoodAtlanta.com donates a percentage of gross sales to the local food charities listed below.  We encourage and applaud your support.

• collects food from corporations, retailers, markets, caterers, wholesale distributors •furnishes food to agencies, kitchens, day care centers, nursing homes
• Atlanta's Table-picks up cooked/perishable food and delivers to agencies that feed the hungry
• Plant A Row For The Hungry Program-accepts donations of fresh surplus vegetables from local gardeners
